The Jesus My Kids Taught Me: Hearing God in the everyday moments through your children by Breanne Wierenga

This project came out of the continual frustration I had with myself. Going from no kids with endless hours spent in coffee shops studying, to two kids later with no time to sit and read my Bible. They said, “wake up earlier” or “read once they are asleep”, but my kids woke up too early and I have no ability to stay awake once they are asleep, so that advice was useless. And I heard it said once that moms with little ones need to stop beating themselves up about not being in the the Bible enough and need to just focus on living out the Bible in their own homes. That gave me so much freedom! I began to notice how much Jesus was with me in the everyday moments and conversations with my children at home. And in those moments, scriptures that I had deep inside me came up from the surface and showed their face. If anything, my kids continue to teach me the Jesus I presently need, not the one I think I need.
