She is committed to overseas ministry, often reaching the unreached with the gospel; she has established an international program of Bible and food distribution. In addition, the fully accredited Word to the World College, which offers both an on-campus and correspondence program of studies, is dedicated to preparing men and women for full-time living by God's Word.

Marilyn's message of encouragement to all believers is that today can be the best day of their lives when Jesus Christ lives big in them. In addition to her ministry, Marilyn is also a busy wife and mother of two grown children. She is married to Wallace Hickey, the pastor of Orchard Road Christian Center in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
