Their names are familiar; their names are unknown. Women of the Bible - they were so much like you and me but so different. Who were these women, our foremothers in the faith? How can the stories of their lives speak to us in ways that will make a difference in our lives? The purpose of this study is threefold: 1. to look at some of the women of the Bible and the contributions they made to the faith; 2. to learn something of the cultural and religious background of the times in which they lived; and 3. to understand how biblical women responded to their world in light of the roles assigned to them and how we, woo, can respond to our world as we consider these women's roles and our own today.
